I am always interested in emotional health as well as physical health. We know that emotions can cause high blood pressure, or trouble sleeping, or palpitations. So, have you been worried lately? We are nearing the Summer Solstice, so it’s again the season of transition. The season of transition most easily effects the digestive system and the Spleen. Do you know what the Spleen makes happen if it’s not feeling well
? The Spleen expresses imbalance by promoting feelings of worry and over thinking!
So if you are feeling more worried lately, this is not necessarily your fault. It could be that your Spleen is trying to tell you that it’s not feeling well. Other symptoms of a weak Spleen commonly are: squishy body parts, sugar or carb cravings, and lack of motivation. A weak Spleen can also lead to diabetes over time, and cause other digestive complaints like soft stool, low appetite, bloating, and acid reflux or heartburn.
Your Spleen is an essential organ in Chinese medicine. Taking care of it will mean that your blood sugars stay healthy so you can avoid diabetes and also obesity. The base cause of obesity is usually a weak spleen.
So take good care of your Spleen. If it needs support, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can both be used to support it. They can be used together or just one can be used to help. Keep an eye out for these symptoms so you can keep your body healthy and strong for life.
